Wendell Wood is a regional wildlife biologist and graduate from Humboldt State University. His botanical and general biological knowledge of area dunes, forest and marine environs is extensive. Since 1981 Wendell has worked as Wildland's Advocate and Naturalist for Oregon Wild (formerly Oregon Natural Resources Council), leading natural history trips throughout Oregon and northern California, and also authoring a "Walking Guide to Oregon Ancient Forests". Wendell also currently leads outdoor trips in the Redwood Region and Klamath/Siskiyous for Siskiyou Field Institute.
Special interests/expertise: My hobby is identifying things: Vascular plants, mushrooms, seaweeds, marine invertebrates, & birds are what I most frequently identify and photograph.
