| Rob Preston retired at the end of 2021 after more than 30 years as a consulting botanist.'I have been a student of the California flora for over 40 years and have botanized from one end the state to the other. However, there are still many places I want to visit and many, many plants I have not seen yet. My general interests are California floristics, pollination biology, and rare and endangered species; my special interests include the Brassicaceae (especially Arabis and Streptanthus); Asteraceae (spikeweeds and tarweeds); annual Atriplex; Eryngium; and vernal pools.' |
