He has taken many of the identifcation courses offered by the Botanic Garden including use of the Jepson manual for identification. He has also taken college courses in Ecological Restoration and has volunteered on several projects in Santa Barbara county. He has been photographing California Native vascular plants and local fungi since 2001. |
