| | I live in the SW suburbs of Chicago, IL, USA. I'm a life-long nature nut, and have been taking nature photos since the 1970's, moved to digital capture in 1999. I have been doing volunteer work with local nature groups since the late 1970's and am an avid self-taught amateur naturalist. I've had quite a few of my photos, mostly wild mushrooms, published in various magazines. I'm currently a volunteer at the Bartel Grassland Restoration project in SW Cook County, IL. | | Special interests/expertise: My primary expertise is in the natural history of NE Illinois, particularly the Chicago region.
