I am an assistant professor at Missouri Southern State University. I previously worked as a botanist/GIS analyst for the Illinois Natural History Survey's CTAP (Critical Trends Assessment Program) and as a botanist for the U.S. Geological Survey in Henderson, NV where I studied low elevation plant communities in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts.

Special interests/expertise: Community and restoration ecology, particularly associated with tallgrass prairies and Ozark glade communities.
