CalPhotos photographer profile for Andrea Jesse:
| I am a native of Northern California and a long time resident of San Francisco. I have a Master's degree in Biology from San Francisco State University. While my primary interests are bird behavior, geography, and evolution, my interests extend to other areas of biology including ecology and bioinformatics. I have worked in the Research Division of the California Academy of Sciences and have volunteered at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at UC Berkeley. I have a few publications, most dealing with song variation among White-crowned Sparrows in collaboration with Luis Baptista. I also have a publication that speaks to the role of natural history collections in conservation biology. I am an amateur photographer. My main goal is to document what is where and when. Such information is key to understanding the dynamics of populations and ecosystems and to document history. | Total Photos Contributed: 85 [View all photos] or [See a list of all photos] or [View most recent photos] |
