experienced in plant identification, especially trees of California, with N. CA. being my highest area of expertise. I have been studying, identifying, locating, collecting specimens, and photographing native and endemic CA trees for over thirty years. I have taken some dendrology and silviculture classes, and have spent numerous hours with Forest Service experts studying and comparing notes. I have travelled the mountain backroads for thousands of miles searching out and photographing the trees of CA. and may someday publish a book on this subject, (hopefully the book with the most and best photos of all the various species, sub-species and variations and phases, to aid in the rapid identification of trees and plants to those studying them.
