Simon Tonge is the Executive Director of the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust based at Paignton Zoo in the UK. He started his zoo career in the Herpetology Dept of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Jersey and from there carried out fieldwork in Mallorca and in Mauritius. He travels widely, particularly in Africa, and is interested in all aspects of natural history.
