| Background: Ph.D., Plant Pathology, UC Davis 1984 B.S., Biology, UC Riverside 1979 Founder (1987) and principal of Phytosphere Research, a firm that provides contract research and consulting services related to the plant sciences. Dr. Swiecki has conducted numerous studies on the ecology of California oaks, diseases and insect pests of oaks, and both natural and assisted oak regeneration since 1988.
