I am a professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, since 1996. I've been taking photographs of animals and their habitats since the early '80s. Most of my photos are of amphibians and reptiles, the subjects of my research. I lived for about 10 years in the Amazon (in Manaus and Boa Vista), where I undertook several field studies and took thousands of pictures of herps and their habitats. Since 1997 I am working in the Cerrado (Brazilian savanas) and the Atlantic Forest.
Special interests: Brazilian amphibians and reptiles; Amazon, Cerrado, Atlantic Forest
