| Kai Palenscar is currently a graduate student (Ph. D. candidate) at UC Riverside within Dr. Jodie Holt's Weed Ecology Lab. His research will begin in fall 2008 and encompass the broad topic of weed plant ecology in southern CA riparian systems. Giant reed (Arundo donax) will be his focus with the goal of eradication in favor of native riparian habitat restoration.
