| Dave Silverman and Cindy Hopkins are naturalists of the southwest, living in the high desert of California. Dave works as a plant ecologist, with interests in desert plants, especially Opuntia, Astragalus and Cryptantha. Cindy works as a biologist for the Navy, with interests in ecology, reptiles, invertebrates, and desert plants.
