| Chris and Irene Timossi have been involved in macro photography and plant identification for almost 30 years, specializing in plants of Marin County, California, and the Sierra Nevada. Chris is a computer systems engineer at Lawrence Berkeley Lab. He has been photographing plants since 1972 after completing a two semester upper division course 'The Plants of California' at UC Santa Barbara. Irene (deceased in 1998) worked for 15 years as a research assistant systems analyst in the department of Environmental Science Policy at UC Berkeley. She co-authored 'Plant Communities of Marin County' (W. Shuford, I. Timossi; California Native Plant Society, 1989). She received her BA in Environmental Biology at UCSB in 1973, and her MS in Wildland Resource Science from UC Berkeley in 1985. | | Special interests: Plants of Marin County, California, and the Sierra Nevada.
