| G.F. (Fred) Hrusa was born in San Francisco and grew up in Carmel, Calif. He received his B.S. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1983, an M.S. from UC Davis in 1990, and a Ph.D. from UC Davis in 1995. He is currently Senior Plant Systematist for the Plant Pest Diagnostics Branch of the Calif. Dept of Food and Agriculture. Current research projects are, 1) documentation and identification of non-native species not previously documented (but perhaps reported) from California, 2) morphological and taxonomic variation within California Salsola. 3) Flora of the Sierra Madre Mts., California, 4) variation within Rhododendron occidentale, 5) Current applications of older plant name synonyms. | | Total Photos Contributed: 61 [View all photos] or [See a list of all photos] or [View most recent photos] |
