| Bruce Means received his PhD in ecology from Florida State University in 1975 where he has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Biological Science ever since. He was Director of Tall Timbers Research Station (1976-1984) and has been President and Executive Director of the Coastal Plains Institute and Land Conservancy based in Tallahassee, FL, since 1984.
