  • notes   These plants are part of an interesting population of Hesperomecon (= Meconella) linearis with most individual plants having alternating yellow-and-white petals, but also with a few individuals with all petals uniformly yellow.

         "This rare bicolored coastal race used to be called var. pulchellum; should be resurrected and listed. Only 5 locations are documented in Calphotos; the plain white interior race appears to be more common"
