Cypselas very-sparsely dark-spotted, 10-ribbed, ribs finely scabrous.
Pappus of (mostly) 5 aristate scales (but a least one fruit in the photo has 4). Membranous scale bodies lance-ovate, off-white colored, arcuate, involute, glabrous, tapered apices more-or-less entire (not bifid!). Scale body length less than cypsela length. Midribs white to pale-beige, more-or-less linear, midrib width < 1/5 scale width.
Terminal aristae barbellate, length generally greater than length of scale body.
