This photo details the 'non-basal' inflorescence of this plant. The thumbnail is ~16 mm long. Some diagnostic characters to note are:
1) this inflorescence consists of a (lower, lateral) pistillate spike and a (terminal, erect) staminate spike;
2) the long & narrow green bract subtending the inflorescence (emanating below the pistillate spike) conspicuously exceeds the length of the inflorescense spikes.
