  • location   Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Rhododendron Trail, ~2.5 miles up from Brown Creek trailhead (Humboldt County, California, US)
  • habitat  old growth coast redwood stand
  • notes   Found in AM by Sandra Healy, lying along side of trail, our follow-up pursuit was from 1800-2000., egg shell was lying where it was originally found. Appears freshly laid (bright color), but shell appeared predated, yolk still visible, shell cracks appear from strong, straight bill.
