  • notes   Plants in this area are scraggly and spindly as they grow under an open pinus canopy. Flowers are showy and sharply fragrant compared to the other 3 pleasantly rose-fragranced Berberis species on the west coast. The inflorescence is in a tightly compact cluster surrounded by leaves.
