plant community serverly burned over Pinyon-Juniper-Oak woodland, scattered marginal stump regrowth of trees and forbs, now recovering largely with abundant grasses and forbsnotes in calcareous soil and gravels of a low limestone hill crest, just west of Rio Penasco valley.
