location
Kelso Valley, Kern County (Kern County, California, US)notes Kelso Valley. The species frequently co-occurs with another rare, local endemic annual plant species - Camissonia integrifolia (CRPR 1B.3). The habitat of both species is: 1) Koppen climate BSk (cold semi-arid, desert), 2) gentle slopes - toeslopes and flats - alluvial fans, stream terraces, valley floor, 3) sandy soil, mostly derived from granitic alluvium, and 4) open shrub gaps in Joshua tree woodland and California juniper woodland. Needs additional survey for the species all the way around Scodie Mountains. The species range is likely very similar and overlapping with Camissonia integrifolia.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
