notes Collected by Peter H. Raven. HOLOTYPE. The individual TYPE specimen of the species is the specimen with its root pointing towards the upper left corner of the herbarium sheet. This is the specimen that was used to produce the line drawing on Pg. 330 of Raven P.H. 1969. A revision of the genus Camissonia (Onagraceae). Contributions from the United States National Herbarium 37(5). The formal species description is on pg. 328, 330, and 331. The line drawing is the only one that exists for the species that I am aware of. This drawing is not very detailed and certain morphological details are not depicted very well (e.g. nodding flower buds). There are no line drawings for Camissonia lacustris in the Jepson Manual (Jepson eFlora). I have collected seeds of Camissonia lacustris from Lakeport and grown plants in a horticultural setting and scanned them.
