  • location   in semi-stabilized sand dunes, approximately 1 km NE Bahía Creek (Adolfo Alsina Departamento, Río Negro, Argentina)

  • species associated with this habitat: Hyalis argentea    Lycosid spider    Ectobiid cockroach    Myloxena scarab    Sulcophaneus menelas
  • notes   These lycosids were active at night. Their large eyes reflected a brilliant, yellow-green color with the headlamp. They were found resting at the base of small plants in the lightly-vegetated sand on the dunes. When viewed from directly above they were hard to see, as their coloration was very cryptic on this sandy soil.
