Kelseyville, Lake County (Lake County, California, US)notes Scan of RSA0220298. Camissonia lacustris. Courtesy of RSABG. Exact collection location is unknown. At least four separate collections (herbarium specimen sheets) were collected between 1904 and 1931 in the Kelseyville-Cole Creek area. None of the exact collection locations are known. The herbarium label descriptions indicate that these populations occurred on sandy, gravelly soils derived from nonserpentine rock types. The likely rock type is volcanic pyroclastic deposits (volcanic ash; Mt. Konocti). The stated vegetation type one label is 'pasture' (grassland). The volcanic substrate may have been similar to serpentine, which the species appears to be endemic to.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
