  • date of photo  May 25, 2019
  • location   Along road to Black Canyon, near the southwestern base of the White Mountains (Inyo County, California, US)
  • family Phrynosomatidae
  • notes   I arrived at this ID by using the California Herps web site, and I believe the blue speckles indicate a male. This one apparently lost his tail at some point, but it has grown back.
