INFORMATION PROVIDED WITH THE PHOTO
  • date of photo  Mar 10, 2003
  • this photo depicts a plant that was cultivated or collected in the wild
  • photo location   Santa Cruz CA
  • plant's place of origin   Dublin Hwy 580 & Tassjara Rd. (Alameda County, California, US)
  • notes   These plants were photographed March 10 2003 and were under cultivation by Randal Morgan in Santa Cruz. Critical study of the specimens is needed: vouchers are UCSC008647, UCSC008667 and UCSC008122. Whether or not the detail photos show the thick pedicle base and swollen calyx and spatulate sepals requires study of the vouchers. These plants were those determined by Morgan as P. glaber.
