  • notes   Closer view of head with three fruits & pappus on the left, and a head with one fruit with pappus (and another without pappus?) remaining on the right. Prenanthella (a monotypic genus) usually has 3 (or 4) florets per head.

    Growing on limestone scree & silt in the middle of the population of Nemacladus californicus seen in these CalPhotos posts.
