My thumbnail (17.5 mm) gives a sense of scale, as do the diminuitive Psilocarphus tenellus and the browned remains of the Crassula plants. The larger Chorizanthe plant (at right) measured 7.1 cm across. Plants are prostrate in this species, and the two here illustrate a somewhat smaller (upper left) and median (right) diameter within the spectrum of plant sizes for the species.
