The current situation shows that the vegetation structures suitable as spawning places are already disturbed (fell dry) due to the lowering of the groundwater level. The 'Jagenbruch' is part of the nature reserve 'Damerower Wald, Schlepkower Wald und Jagenbruch'. The area covers 671 hectares and suffers from the sinking of the groundwater level. In the 1970s and 1980s, there were reproduction communities of Rana arvalis with several thousand individuals.camera Pentax K-5-II
