  • plant community   Pine-Juniper-Oak woodland at elv. 7345' (2238m)
  • notes   perennial in coarse gravelly rhyolitic soil on an open grassy clearing in low, thickly wooded, undulating volcanic foothills rising southwest to Cerro La Concha. Note thin, narrow, pink to white rays 120 to 150 per head, singularly held on few tall erect stems with lance-linear leaves.
