  • notes   entire plant conspicuously dotted with reddish to yellow pustular (stems and flowering bracts), and punctate (leaves)glands resulting in strongly scented herbage. Flowers strikingly blue-purple. Immature buds encased in elongate dehiscent membranous ovate bracts, deciduously dropping as buds emerge.
