plant community Semi-arid grassland invaded by Chihuahuan Desert scrub at 4000' (1220m)notes tall erect perennial with in roadside drainage swale on volcanic sandy/silts and small gravels at the west base of a low rhyolite hill. Leaves 2 to 3 times pinnately divided giving a ragged look to foliage. Flowers in panicles, not racemes.keywords: CDR, Chihuahuan Desert
