plant community Pine forest at 8077' (2462m)notes perennial on disturbed igneous gravels of an old roadside spoils dump. Outer phyllaries linear, erect, slightly spreading. A rather rare endemic of the Black Range, Pinos Altos and Mimbres Mountains in the Gila region. Elevated to speciues rank by some.keywords: SkIs, Sky Islands
