  • notes   colorful short lived perennial in full chasmogamous display timed for northward hummingbird migration (subsequent summer/fall flowering often cleistogamous). Plants in gray limestone rubble on steep grassy slope below cliffs of north facing canyon wall with Fraxinus cuspidata, Juniperus monosperma.
