  • notes   shrub in riverside mesquite bosque on alluvial river sands and gravels. Branchlets spinescent; foliage somewhat grayish, not glaucous, slightly succulent; flowers 5 lobed, reflexed, lavender with ciliate margins, corolla tube white ; berries juicy, ovate, red-orange.
