  • location   Scott's Crossing Road through Eagle Flats arroyo, 0.7 miles northeast of Southern Pacific RR tracks at Scott's Crossing. 6.8 mi. SW of Van Horn, (Culberson County, Texas, US)

  • plant community   Chihuahuan Desert arroyo riparian at 4127' (1258m)
  • notes   few scattered annuals in thin mixed arroyo gravels and silty to clay soil of scoured arroyo drainage bottom. A rare Trans-Pecos occurrence of this uncommon Texas endemic. ID confirmed by A.M. Powell(SRSU). Note the unusual, somewhat thickend/fascicated cluster of erect central stems on this specimen distorting the otherwise normal trailing, prostrate nature of mature plants.
