  • plant community   Chihuahuan Desert Larrea scrub at 3850' 1174m)
  • notes   ringing a shallow drainage swale on a flat plain of slightly gypseous, calcareous alluvial soil and scattered gravels. Although normally considered perennial in nature, such short lived flowering displays on the normally arid plains more often resemble ephemeral annuals after exceptional monsoonal rains.
