  • notes   P. klinghardtense is a highly succulent species from section Otidia. Near the Orange River mouth it grows on rocky ridges in cracks in often almost pure rock. It is also found on hillocks of stabilised coarse sand. In the latter localities plants may become large well branched shrubs. The species often flowers in late winter.
