| Reviewer's comments: | | | "I think the type specimen of S. adjugoides has proximally inflated calyces like these. The type specimen of S. quercetorum comes from above Crystal Springs in San Mateo County and has sparsely hairy leaves." |

| Reviewer's comments: | | | "I no longer think this is S. ajugoides. Isotypes of S. rigida var. quercetorum look a lot like S. bullata. The isolectotype of S. rigida has stalked glands on its rachis. I am not sure what this is." |
