  • family Berberidaceae
  • notes   The genus Vancouveria in the Berberidaceae has only three species, and this is the only one with yellow flowers. V. chrysantha is known from northwest California and southwest Oregon. The hood-like structures here are the petals, the larger backward-pointing yellow structures are sepals.
