About 1/3 the way up Nine-Mile Canyon Grade (Inyo County, California, US)notes While driving down the 3450' grade of Nine-Mile Canyon Rd after 10pm on a very hot summer evening, I saw a vehicle coming up the road very slowly. When our paths finally crossed they were parked in the road and I stopped to ask if everything was OK. It turned out to be a young herp enthusiast and his father, and he had found this Mojave Glossy...which he graciously allowed me to photograph.
