  • plant community    Coastal dune scrub at 9m (30') elv.
  • notes   on white beach sands of back dune area in Jourea pilosa, with Dalea maritime, Boerhaavia xanti, Froelichia xantusii. Note the conspicuous reddish pustular (blister-like) oil glands on the phyllaries and bracts below the flower head and extending to the toothed leaves.
