INFORMATION PROVIDED WITH THE PHOTO
  • date of photo  Jul 29, 2016
  • latitude 37.54460   longitude -118.17900     View on Google Maps.
  • location   White Mountains, Cottonwood Basin (Mono County, California, US)
  • notes   Visited this site with Dylan Neubauer, Jim Morefield and others. Very odd soils and no surface water. By key this population of plants might not exhibit enough characters to distinquish it from A. formosa. Abaxial leaf surfaces are not as grey green as some populations, and not as hairy. It might in fact be a hybrid between shockleyi and formosa.
