location
White Mountains, Cottonwood Basin (Mono County, California, US)notes Visited this site with Dylan Neubauer, Jim Morefield and others. Very odd soils and no surface water. By key this population of plants might not exhibit enough characters to distinquish it from A. formosa. Abaxial leaf surfaces are not as grey green as some populations, and not as hairy. It might in fact be a hybrid between shockleyi and formosa.contributor's ID # RanunculaceaeAquilegiashockleyi2016 cottonwood1-PZ2A9454.jpg photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
