plant community Chihuahuan Desert semi-arid grassland at 5393' (1643m)notes Rhizomatous motts on broad grassy roadside right-of-way in coarse gravelly calcareous/caliche soils of undulating plain. Low scrub, possibly hybridized with Q. havardi. Leaves with lightly undulate margins, lobed and coarsely toothed, and upper and lower surfaces with near felty gray-white pubescence, heavier below.keywords: CDR, Chihuahuan Desert
