    Without flowers, the Lessingia can be hard to see. The plants are usually small, with thread-like stems and narrow, white-hairy leaves...giving a diaphanous effect which can make them seem to disappear among grasses or other forbs with which they can grow.

    Lessingia micradenia var. micradenia is a CNPS List 1.B2 rare plant.
