  • notes   Spring sickness has been a mystery for decades. fans damaged. The clump appears normal for a while in spring, but then some fans start to curve sideways. As the fan grows, the damage grows as well. I have observed in my garden that spring sickness is caused by bulb mites (Rhizoglyphus callae).
