plant community oak-juniper woodland to semi-arid grassland at 693 m (2275')notes along grassy road right-of-way crossing open basin grassland with scattered trees on low knoll of gravelly volcanic alluvial soil. This is one of two disjunct collections of this eastern species in the Sierra Madre Occidental as determined by R. S. Spellenberg (NMSU).keywords: SMOc
