  • notes   Slo.: pahljačasta solzovka - syn.: Dacryomyces palmatus (Schwein. 1832) Bresad., Dacryomyces tremelloides Karst.1882, Tremella palmata Schwein. - Habitat: Next to mountain trail 'Soška pot'; some Picea abies, Salix eleagnos, Fraxinus ornus, Corylus avellana in the vicinity; close to river bank, flat terrain, calcareous ground, almost full sun, fully exposed to precipitations, average precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 7-9 deg C, elevation 540 m (1770 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: short, dead, debarked stump of a cut down Picea abies in its middle stage of disintegration. - Comments: This is a very common species in Trenta valley. Usually confluent fruit bodies have whitish rudimentary 'stalk' (point of attachment to the substratum). No hypha clamps have been observed. Following Krieglsteiner (2000) this should be Dacryomyces chrysospermus. Growing in a single confluent group; dimensions about 3.5 x 2 x 2 cm; taste and smell indistinctive; SP abundant, yellow. - Spores smooth. Dimensions: 18.3 [20.2 ; 21.1] 23 x 6.4 [7.1 ; 7.4] 8 microns; Q = 2.6 [2.8 ; 2.9] 3.2; N = 27; C = 95%; Me = 20.6 x 7.2 microns; Qe = 2.9. Number of septa: AVG = 7.7, SD= 0.7, n= 25. Olympus CH20, NEA 100x/1.25, magnification 1000x, in water, Kongo red.
